Care organization Siza has signed an agreement with Ecovat and 48 other public and private parties. State Secretary Van Rijn signed on behalf of the Ministry of Health. With this agreement ‘Het Dorp’ in Arnhem will be transformed into a technologically smart and healthy environment in which people with disabilities can live as comfortable as possible.
In Academy Het Dorp innovating parties join forces to create the residential area of the future. Within the Academy eleven clusters for innovation are present, including Healthy Living and Sustainable Construction. Main goal is to realize an adaptive built environment that contributes to healthy and comfortable living and working, which is at least energy neutral and built by the principles of circular building and social sustainability.
Fifty companies, knowledge institutions and government parties are joining, including SPIE, Asito TNO, Honeywell, Municipality of Arnhem, top sector Health and of course Ecovat. Product innovations and technological solutions will be developed and tested together with users. This creates real value for the future residents of ‘Het Dorp’.
Claudia de Breij is the new ambassador of Het Dorp. She will assist former presenter Mies Bouwman in her activities for the residential community.
